Defeat Anime RNG Update Tracker: UPD 9 and Source Evidence
Track the official UPD 9 listing, Beebom’s changed code reports and conflicting publisher labels, with clear limits on patch and gameplay evidence.
What is the current official update listing?
The official Roblox experience is titled [UPD 9] Defeat Anime RNG and identifies Defeat Anime Bosses as its creator. The game metadata returns universe ID 10552240401, root place ID 92606991708989 and creator group ID 584191075, matching our existing record.
| Evidence | Value at our review |
|---|---|

| Review date | October 25, 2026 |
| Roblox record updated | October 19, 2026, 11:28:03.312 UTC |

The updated value belongs to Roblox’s experience record. It does not identify a new unit, a balance adjustment, a zone price, or the precise time UPD 9 became playable.
What changed in this source review?
Beebom now reports the same six UPD 9 strings already in our tracker and moves the four UPD 8 strings into its expired list. Its October 24 revision differs from the other three code guides, which still list UPD 8 as current. This is a change in publisher reports; it does not establish a new game version or game-tested expiry.
MrGuider retains the UPD 9 role rankings first read here on October 22, with an October 20 source date. The lists match our previous review. The original article was again read through a web reader after a direct HTTP 403. The unit guide retains three short role examples and explains the comparison conditions still needed.
This is publisher analysis. Its release-date and addition-count claims still lack a matching official changelog in the evidence checked here; they do not become established patch facts.
The official metadata is unchanged from our previous reading: UPD 9, with a platform-record update at October 19, 11:28:03.312 UTC. We first observed UPD 9 before that timestamp, so it cannot establish the launch time. The developer description is unchanged too.
The public developer community again had no shout announcement in its API record, and the social-links API required authentication. This review did not obtain a complete UPD 9 changelog or establish changes to individual mechanics.
Where do the code reports agree or differ?
Pocket Tactics retains its October 20 revision and 14 current reports: six UPD 9, four UPD 8 and four UPD 7 strings. Its 29 earlier expired labels, reported rewards and redemption instructions are unchanged; the tracker still has 43 strings.
Pocket Tactics is published by Network N Media; Pro Game Guides and Destructoid both belong to GAMURS. Publisher ownership and matching rows do not establish current-account game tests.
Pro Game Guides retains its October 19 revision; Destructoid displays October 22 publication/update metadata. Both retain six UPD 9 code reports: upd9luck, upd9gold, Steel, Ball, Run and Mozzarella. Beebom’s new reports match their rewards: one hour of double Luck, three hours of double Gold, 100 Trait Shards for each of the three capitalized short names, and 50 Star Shards for Mozzarella.
Those two publishers retain four UPD 8 reports and classify 33 older entries as inactive or expired. Pro Game Guides was read through a web reader after a direct HTTP 403 on October 25; Destructoid and Pocket Tactics were read directly. See the code tracker for all 43 exact strings, reward attribution and source dates. No current redemption result or exact code-release time is established.
Beebom’s October 24 revision has six current reports and 37 expired labels. Its newly expired UPD 8 set is upd8luck, upd8gold, berserk and meow; the other three guides retain those as current. Pocket Tactics’ UPD 7 current labels also still differ from the other publishers. Both disagreements remain explicit. No testedAt date or game-tested status is added from these articles.
The checked reports do not establish changes to measured unit values, merging, zone prices, boss mechanics or potion effects. The gameplay cards in our unit reference and the zone guides retain their original observation dates.
What does the developer description confirm?
The official description names the core loop: roll anime units, fight anime bosses, merge units to level up, survive endless enemy waves, and unlock zones. It also mentions rare units, mutations and extra Luck for liking the experience and joining the group.
Those statements support a beginner progression guide and a merge planning guide. They do not establish a numerical probability table, merge recipe, boss stat sheet or complete list of update additions. An UPD 9 heading alone does not mean every mechanic on this site has been checked in UPD 9 gameplay.
Keep these three dates separate
Game platform update
This is the date Roblox returns for the experience record. It is useful context, but the record has no itemized explanation attached in this review.
Publisher or guide update
A codes article may change after a code report or an editorial refresh. Publisher update dates are publication metadata, not confirmed game-patch dates. Beebom now lists UPD 9 as current and UPD 8 as expired, while the other three guides retain UPD 8 as current. Pocket Tactics also retains UPD 7. Our codes page keeps those observations separate from gameplay verification.
Gameplay verification
This means checking a specific claim in the current game: a requirement, an item description, a redemption response or a repeated comparison. A guide review is not equivalent to completing that test. For example, the mutations guide documents that mutations are mentioned by the developer while leaving their odds and inheritance unverified.
What should you check after the next update?
Start with the change relevant to your immediate goal. If you are saving unit copies, read the merge warning before committing them. If you are returning for codes, compare the publisher and the game’s response. If you are spending a potion, read its current item description.
| Area | Useful evidence to capture |
|---|---|
| Codes | Announcement link, exact spelling and actual redemption result. |
| Units and mutations | Same-unit stats, level, effect text and merge result. |
| Bosses and waves | Encounter name, team conditions and the result shown. |
| Potions and Trait Shards | Item description, cost, timer and confirmation text. |
| Zones | Entrance name and the exact requirement currently displayed. |
The resource spending guide and boss progression guide show how to act on those observations without assuming a full patch history.
